I have reinstalled winxp due to a hardware upgrade. When I went into bf2 to retrieve my account it tells me "invalid password", so I use the forgot password tab and they mailed me the password, the same one I typed in the first time. I have checked the capslocks key to make sure it was off. So I phoned EA and they told me that they don't work with the accounts, it is gamespy's job and they only work with the blacklisting of the cd keys. So then I mailed gamespy and guess what, they told me to contact EA because it is not their game. So what do I do now?? GameSpy sends me to EA, EA sends me to GameSpy... It's more of a rollercoaster ride than anything else... If anyone else knows what is cooking here, I'd appriciate some feedback, because starting over isn't an option.. The way things are going, it looks like noone wants to take responsibility for the screw up.. and it's getting old.. When i goto www.bf2s.com i can retrieve my stats, so my account is still active.

- Invalid Password !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have had the game tell me my password was invalid at random moments, just try entering it again a couple of times and it will suddenly work. At least it did for me. I think it's more of a connection problem then an actual problem with your password or account. It can't connect to the EA server, so the game just yells 'YOUR PASSWORD SUX' so it seems like it's your fault, not the game's or EA. They do that alot.
(For example, anytime you contact support about a problem they tell you right off the bat it's your fault for not updating your drivers, while we all know that's hardly ever the actual issue.)

This doesn't help much, but I had a friend who had this exact problem. No matter what he did, he couldn't get it to accept his password. He ended up just making a new account.
I am having the same problems..........
