For the past couple of weeks the servers seem to be spitting out some pretty ridiculous error messages. These include :
- error reading from the server (even though half a dozen of your mates seem to have no trouble playing the next round at all)
- this server only allows unmodified content (even though you've played on that same server for the last 3 hours with no trouble)
- and a couple of others that I haven't bothered to write down at the time.
This doesn't seem to be that uncommon lately. A few other posts have been put up claiming the same thing and the general consensus is that you just have to wait a while and keep trying until the stupid thing eventually lets you back on (without ever having to change any settings / mods etc).
If you have had similar issues lately whack up a post and maybe the numbers will convince someone to give the hardware a bit of a service.
I've been playing for over 2 years but the recent issues have already led to me buying some other PC games (from rival developers mind you) and will probably kill my zeal for BF2 altogether if something isn't done to improve the recent issues.
If at first you don't succeed, try try try try try try try try try try again, and then boot the bloody thing out the window.
