uzique. You're on the tutorial. Make no note of why it tries to teach you. think of that as a demo so you can see how much stuff there is in the game. pirating refers to the habit of players seeking pvp in lowsec. 0.0 is different and isn't called pirating as there's no law.
Basically. You're going to end up doing one of these things:
you're going to stay in highsec far past the point where you're ship skills are good enough to fight in pvp and continue grinding to earn ask faster by buying a more pimp ship. You will learn industry and manage a pos and mine and there will never be a risk to you.

you start out tackling (holding other characters down so your corp can kill it) till you know what you should fly in other situations. Granted. If you're going to do either. You have to get a source of income. That's why I think you should join bf2s and talk to me about things you dont understand. If you decide you want to begin paying I'll give you a program that will allow you to start that will give my alt more gametime. It will be of no difference to you other than the fact that I will be funding you're progress through the game till you can stand alone.

If you lose a bit of gametime from starting over on a new account It wouldn't matter as you will have somebody to ask for all your questions and wouldnt have to deal with the 'Better' tutorial.

0.0 babe. killing somebody and destroying their pod is 100% aloud. Theres no gay ass carebears who bitch and wine about morality, theres no 'honorable pirates' who 'value small gang warfare'. Gate guns dont exist. station guns dont exist. Anything that you can actually do pvp you can do. the only deterrent is the other people who fight against you. and EVERYTHING is alloud. Titans, doomsdays, bombs, warp bubbles, motherships, fighters. It's the true form of eve pvp. I love 0.0.

Some people in a rather helpful EVE chat-channel (Eve University) are helping me through the starter steps...
They asked me what I was interested in, and naturally I said making everyone rage and ruining their shit... so they recommended that I stay with Frigates until I have developed good skills, and then to slowly progress through (using the Certs as a guide) til I'm near BS level ships. Of course that's a huge and vague 'plan', but for now they told me to aim to get into tackling. Yeah, ok. Off to read some Wiki's on Tackling then I suppose. In the immediate future I'll finish off these career advancement agent missions and get my Core Competency Certificate skills. Fuck, there's too much to do in this game. Still not sure whether I like that or not, especially the fact that all of the skills take a small fortune in time to attain.

if you're negative 2 you cant go into some systems. -4 you're not allowed to go into highsec. -5 anyone can shoot at you anywhere.
Sec status ranges from -10 to 10, anything from 0-10 is good, you will not get popped by any npc (with the exception of npc pirates) at all, unless you are in a faction warfare scenario. 0 to -5 is leaning towards the bad side, you maybe attacked someone or podded someone in a low security system at some point so your sec status has dropped. -1 sec status you cannot enter a system of 1.0 or equal, places like New Caldari for example (noob zones) -2 you cannot enter .9, -3 you cannot enter a .8 system and so on and so forth. This holds true until you hit the ever so coveted -5 sec status. This is when your ship can and most likely will be destroyed by anyone at any time with out Concord or gate guns/station guns helping. if you have a -5 status or below you have to stay in .4 systems and below, these systems are prime spots for pirates and faction warfare grunts itching to pop something. Unless you know what you are getting into and you know what you are doing, try to keep your sec status up. for now at least. HOWEVER, if you are in 0.0 space, any system with a completely red dot next to it, you will NOT lose security status for blowing up someones ship or podding someone, this is where lava/yuki hangs out. it is very dangerous to be in 0.0 space as everyone not in your corp/alliance will shoot you.Uzique wrote:
