Hey guys,

I've been having some problems with the heel of my feet lately. Whenever I jump or run or something, when I lift up my heel when walking normaly it hurts sooooo bad. I have a big soccer match coming up and I can't miss it, I gota know how to get rid of this.

Here's the thing; some movement I do makes my heel just feel horrible I don't know how to describe it. I got this again (for like the 100th time) playing sports. I jumped up and when I landed I noticed I did something to my foot. When my foot touches the ground my heel hurts bad, then when I lift back up the little bone or bump or whatever hurts badly.  If you need more details to maybe understand what it is I can give more.

Thanks
Peter

Icepack and rest so your body can heal itself.

It seems like you bruised it.. What you need to do is rest up and heal and stay off it.. I'd say get a crutch/cane to keep the weight off of it..

Does sound like it could be a tendon strain, and that wont be healing fast if it is. Put your foot up to rest for the remainder of the day and book an appointment with a doctor for tomorrow, it's all you can do for now, noone on here would be able to diagnose foot pains over the interwebs.

OK I think it's the tendon, I get this fairly often.

Keep your feet flat on the floor, bend your knees and stretch your achilles tendon, does it hurt?

You need to buy these gel bottoms for them shoes. They ease the pressure A LOT on your feet. Go to the an expert sports dealer and ask. They are worth the $. Trust me.

Are there any noticeable "issues" on your foot? eg. bruises, scrapes, small cuts, very red {although the last one here may simply be from walking too much}

i've had this problem before.

is the area that hurts... like really swollen around your heel? If it is, it's caused by wearing shoes too small for you. heel rubs and becomes irritated, and protects itself by swelling. Lay off whatever shoes are small

(especially football boots, sorry man)

I guess they didn't clean the bathrooms properly. The virus lives on the floor tiles. My wife had to shower in flipflop in university because she kept getting the damned things.

Wear flipflops. My daughter had a bad case of PF and the pharmacy-bought remedy was taking forever to have any effect. She wore flipflops instead of shoes (summertime) and within 3 days the warts because loose and fell out. Cool yet gross too since they left a good sized hole.

I've had that problem before, I totally smashed my heel down on hard surface.

Took over 6 months to heal, seriously, because I kept messing it up again every time I did anything.

could be bruised, but not likely. its also possible that its just a latent injury, but if it hurts as bad as you say, its probably worse than something you can fix with basic rest and ice.

probably something wrong with your Achilles, a stress fracture of your heels (go see a doctor, get an x-ray and possibly an MRI), or it could be plantar fasciitis, which is essentially extreme pain caused by the inflammation of tissue in your heel. only way to fix that one is a good 3-4 month rest.
