cheating on armor??

Yestoday in Karkand. I played USMC and got the M1A2 tank. I saw a MEC driving T-90 on the other side of city. So I drove over there started to fire my big gun. Surprisingly T-90 returned fire and killed me with one single shot when I had at least 70% left on my armor. I know regularly you have to use at least 3 shots to kill a tank at full health.

Then I spawn back and got the tank again and went back to revenge. And I was killed again with one single shot when I had at least 80% left on armor. This really shocked me and I never seen this before.

At the time, there is no any anti-tank locking alarm or C4 explosion around me, so there is no other chance that my tank was damaged by other ways.

What part of your tank was exposed to him? There have been times (rare times) that a single shot from one tank will destroy another.

Possibly, but its more realistic to believe that he hit you in the right place. You can destroy a tank in two shots by hitting the front tracks, or two to the engine I think. Again its just shot placement, those who know the armor ratings of the tanks know where and how to best damage it.

ive died a good amount of times from one front shot from a tank with my tank having full health.. i only assume that its just a bug and some sort of hitbox error or something.. the most damage im aware of is 60% from a square shot in the back

well the guy driviing the t-90 could be super good a tank driving and know all the weak spots on the tank, or ummm ?? not sure

There is one point on the tank that is 14 hit points (out of 20). It is a small point right underneath the barrel where the turret ataches to the body. The barrel usually has to be elevated to hit this point. Check out secretsofbattlefield.com, it has all the hit points for vehicles. There are also rumors of 1 shot kills, but there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason... just luck.

Shots in the tracks do a very good amount of damage. A shot in the exhuast pipe does wonderful damage. I've been hit in the underbelly while rolling over a small hill (this did major damage). I have heard rumor of a one hit kill for armour (something about where the turret and body meet). However, i'm not sure of the validity of the rumor.

My advice. When faced with an armour vs armour battle ALWAYS try to present your front end to your foe. The front is the best armoured spot on a tank. Don't forget to use your smoke, it will allow you to reposition yourself for a better shot on your foe when he charges thru it ( if he's stupid enough).

there are tank bugs though (i mean, of course there are - there's a bug for everything in this game). once, i was driving my COMPLETELY UNDAMAGED T-90 out of the base at Ghost Town, and when I got across the bridge, I clipped the corner of an FAV that some fool parked there in his rush to cap that flag. Well, guess what?

WTF???!?!?? The tank hed been completely undamaged. There were no mines - no enemies around at all in fact. That has to be a bug.

there is no possible one shot kill in armor vs armor so any time it happens im pretty sure its a bug / hitbox error / w/e its a fuckup of some kind. the spot youre referring to is the spot right under the turret which if hes looking level / down is impossible to hit
