Math doesn't work like that. You can't add something that is being divided and cancel it.

5(2x-3)
---------- = 0
4x^2-9

10x-15
---------  =0
4x^2-9

10x-15=4x^2-9

4x^2-10x=-6

x(4x-10)=-6

I still don't get it

You guys make it seem even worse.

Oh well, I failed maths today anyway, we got a higher question in a SG test.

And yet so many people are getting it wrong...

Am I feeling a "this is what you did incorrectly" to those other people? I believe all you had to do was rationalize it, as Funky did not include a " = 0" in the equation given.

4x(squared)-9

So that's 5 brackets 2 ex minus 3 over 4 ex squared minus nine.

I don't need the answer only, how you did it too please.

karma for good answers nd thanksbye.
Just to make sure you have:

5(2x-3)
4x2-9               correct?

Well if you factor that out, you get:

   5(2x-3)
(2x-3)(2x+3)

Cancel, the (2x-3) and get:
    5
(2x+3)

I'm not sure what you wanted us to do, but I hope that helped.
Uhm, desertfox has it right people.

4x^2-10x=-6

x(4x-10)=-6
0 * (4x^2-9) = 4x^2-9  ? wut?

DesertFox solved this already.

well, yours was right.

And there is not a possible = 0 solution, so they're all wrong any way
