What are the power of dreams?

Well, what are they? Some people claim they tell the future from them, like me.

Because, from a dream i saw that my graphics card would die, it did.
I also saw that my Uncle said why, it was put under too much stress, it was.
I also know how i will die; falling through the sky on fire.

And many more.

So, do dreams reflect what happened to you in real life? Or are they just something your mind wants you do think?

mine always reflected what I did that day....

was I busy during the day (my gf, or brother) said I was busy dreaming (kinda talked when a sleep etc), when I was calm during the day, nothing...

also dreams that I have are just normal day things... and sometimes that I think, did I do that or not? it's just your mind keeps going when you're not...

I sometimes dream of things that then happen, though they're never exciting. I also sometimes have dreams in which several things I've seen sort of subconsciously form together into one which can have some pretty cool results. Just sucks when I wake up and can only remember tiny bits of it .

Most of the time my dreams will be distorted reality of the day before. This can get tricky when you start confusing the two.

When I remember dreams clearly they're always ultra-surreal (from having taken too many mind altering substances probably).

But, the ones that really freak me out are the ones I don't remember until something happens in real life that I dreamt about some time before - it's always something banal - like yesterday I was doing some design work for a website idea, drawing UML diagrams, and as started to draw one of them it was like I could already see the diagram on the paper, then I remembered dreaming it over a year ago...

Ive dreamt of things that:

- Have happened on that previous day
- Things that happen next day (deja-vu is not uncommon )
- Things that I need to do, i.e. Ive dreamt of driving through town on the way to work...then wake up and its 7:30 and time to get ready. Weird.

Very weird thing for me was a dream I had last night, in it I sustained an injury to the left side of my neck, woke up this morning with a hell of a pain in the left side of my neck
