Something for you all waiting for GT200. I am waiting for its successor tho.

I'm glad to see they designed it keeping the good old 8800GTX on mind. Basically it is two G92b cores slapped together on one chip with the external chip like we saw in 8800GTX. This is good because the scaling of G92 chips in multi-GPU solutions wasn't as good as we and nv hoped for.
That will be a beast and it seems to be the fastest single GPU card. Price of it will be ridiculously high tho. That big chip is costly as hell to manufacture.

It is said to go sample right now btw.

I can't wait to see what they come up next when the real next gen comes.

Do we have any idea of approximate dates for release yet?

EDIT: Imagine that in Tri-Sli

EDIT2: And what's that weird handle thing pointing out the back?

I won't need a new card. I will buy a new one when it outperforms my 8800GTS's 512MB SLI.

I see a straw next to the DVI connectors.

Lol that thing's a beast ...wonder how big it is? Anyone have an idea of how much it'll cost?

PS. Anyone also know what numbering system they'll use for the next generation of nVidia cards? Im gonna miss the old system, tbh

Notice the 6-pin PCI-E power connector, and right next to it, an 8-pin CPU connector? So now we have to buy PSU's with 2 9-pin MOBO connectors?

I think it's a 8 pin PCIe connector, not CPU connector.

Damn, it looks like a SCSI card for a old server.  lol

That's massive, but looks about the same size as an 8800GTX chip. Which had like what, less than half the number of transistors. Although, it makes sense seeing as G80 was 90nm and this will probably be 55nm or 45nm

90/2 = 45

Is it 65 or 55nm?

Considering ATi are already on 65 (I think?) I'd like to hope it would be 55, if not 45.

It looks like there will be both. 65nm being the backup just in case the yields of 55nm are not good enough.

ATI is already on 55.

Reason I asked was because nvidia where strugling to get the yields they where after with 65nm, they only fairly recently got it right and are apparantly moving to 55nm (so long after ATI did), but doesnt seem like they have had a lot of time to get stuff onto the 55nm process if this comes out in the next 4 weeks.

Would make sense.

Well still, that means I need a new PSU, or else a 4-pin molex adapter.

you mean 6+2 ehh? I have two 6 pin and two 6+2 pin PCI-E connectors on my PSU.

wait a sec... I came up with a possible scenario:

65nm GT200 might be the GTX
and
55nm GT200 might be the Ultra
