Cafepress and import tax

Sup bf2s,

I want to order some T-shirts from cafepress.com, but this concept of there being different 'countries' has left me confused. I'll be buying $20 t-shirts from the US, so they'd have to ship from outside the EU to the netherlands. Would I have to pay import tax, and if so how much?

Also, are there any european sites that offer the same service? (printing internet to t-shirt, that is)

I like mine, but the only thing that could piss someone off is the fact they put a white outline around it, I like it though, wasn't expensive either.

I always, and forgive me if I am way off, was under the impression that you only paid import tax, when it was over a certain amount.
Like when I came back from The Netherlands, I think it was $400 of things that pushed you over the line and had to pay taxes. But that is coming back into America, so it's just a bit of info.

I'd think you would only pay the extra shipping, so it would still behoove you to find one based in uk or something...

Edit Or have someone you trust from here or any net friend in the us receive the shipment, and then ship to you as a gift ( to yourself, lol)
