9800GTX Problems

No matter what i do my fps will not change in game. I always have vsync off, but doesnt matter what settings i put everything at my fps just dont change. they are always between 100 and 120 fps...its like something is preventing it from rising...

9800GTX with latest nvidea drivers
amd phenom 9600
4gb ram

I think so, renderer.drawFps never shows more than 100 for me.

What game are you playing? 100 FPS is a bit low for BF2 with your card. Not that it's bad though.

type "game.lockfps 200" in the console. 200fps will be the new upper limit

Yup most games are locked to 100-120fps in the config, so with some fiddling around and you can get more...but it does go to show that your 9800gtx is awesome and overkiiill

u only reason i am commenting is because i watched a video on youtube with a guy...pretty much the same specs (q6600 instead of my phenom) as me run valves video stress test and he got roughly 230fps

Your CPU is bottlenecking. Also do a driver reinstall.
