I'm going to reinstall Windows again and was wanting to know if I need to install the Mother-board Chipset drivers before getting my Windows updates or is just getting the updates include the drivers I need?

Or if I do need to install the chipset drivers for my Mother-board, can I do it after I finish all my updates?

I'm trying to resolve a issue I had on my first install is why I'm asking about a different way from my normal procedure.

You should always install drivers first thing after installing an O/S.

I'd install the chipset drivers first opportunity after the reinstall, and then that would followed by peripherals + windows updates.

edit: to make more sense lol

Unless Windows actually knows your network adaptor, I'd rly recommend you get them beforehand

I never installed mobo drivers. But now my Asus mobo doesn't recognize network connection unless i install Network drivers that came with the mobo.

Thanks for the help. Working is now installed and working great.
I made my own disc of updated drivers and a install disc for SP3. Best install I ever had.
