Hai guys!

So I want one or two gadgets on the desktop and not on the sidebar, that's not an problem because you can just do that via right click on the sidebar. But now I have this empty sidebar on my screen, that isn't 100% transparant. Now my questions are:

A) is there a way to keep the gadgets, but to remove the sidebar.

B) is there a way to make the sidebar 100% transparent so you don't see it.

Problem solved!

problem was:

When the gadgets are off the side bar, the side bar disappears almost completely, it only leaves the tiny button on top and the dark area on the right (see the pic). But I found out that you can close the sidebar and keep the gadgets(thus the darkarea and button on top disapear)

capisch?

rightclick on sidebar > "close sidebar". Keeps the gadgets but removes the bar.

It should already do that.  When you move your mouse away from the side bar it goes away and you only see gadgets.  Unless I miss understood the question.

Mabey if you wouldn't remove what else I said it the post it actually might look like i'm trying to help.

I was trying to point that out incase he didn't know.  But I see what he means by the shadow.  I'm running Vista and I just tried to mess with it from what I can tell you can't.

Wat? I made a thread, found the solution for my problem before anyone answered and posted the solution here. So how should I say something positive/negative? I'm not going to flame myself on a forum lol.

look in the system tray by the clock, there is an icon called "windows sidebar."  right-click it and choose "close."

Speaking of which, is there a temperature monitor gadget for the sidebar? Or do I have to DL a completely separate program? If so, which ones are recommended?

There are several gadgets that do this in conjunction with another program like core temp.  There are several of these programs.
