What's Porn?

Porn, also known as Pr0n, is without a doubt mankind's greatest technological advancement of all time. It is the sole reason Al Gore invented the Internets. Some argue he invented it so he could fap without leaving noodz around the house for his prudish, lolcow wife Bill to find.Laura wrote:

On the Internets, "porn" can be spelled in any of the following ways:
* porn
* pr0n
* prawn
* prn
* pwn
* pri
* apr financing lol
* your mom
* Jew
That'd be more like the #1 sign for stupidity.Reciprocity wrote:

What do we all have in common? hangups about sex
IF we were more like Europe about sex, we'd be getting more sex and looking at porn less. It's all a matter of openness and being comfortable with your natural desires.
Our hangups are mostly seen in media. We have a Puritan heritage that conflicts with the fact that sex sells. So, in our media, we resort to a lot of innuendo when it comes to sex, but we don't allow nudity or sex on most channels.oug wrote:

but seriously, I'd never put Americans in that list. Explain if you can...
I don't know... From my limited personal experience I'd say the US society is cooler about sex than any other. Save the Germans!* I was over there for the past two weeks, and maaan! It's 21:00 and there's a documentary about sex on tv. The shit they show, you wouldn't believe!Turquoise wrote:

Basically, we're dysfunctional about sex because of our religious conservatives and their obsession with censoring everything. This leads to a counterproductive taboo mentality about sex. In addition to this, religious conservatives often block access to contraceptives and sex ed for teens, and they often have a deep hatred for Planned Parenthood, despite the good it does for our society.
So, to be more accurate, we have hangups about both sex and birth control.

Well, if I'm not mistaken, Greece is quite conservative about sex. Most of Eastern Europe is, right?oug wrote:

Must be a really limited personal experience. The US is by far the most sex-frightened country among the 20 or so countries I've visited in my time.oug wrote:

Eastern Europe you'll find is very different in their attitudes from country to country.Turquoise wrote:

Bulgaria, Hungary = you can pull a girl from a club and lay the same night...difficult but not impossible
Romania, Ukraine, Poland = very narcissistic, but the girls are wild once they're "in love"
Generally though, you won't get laid in the first date unless you're paying for it. Germany was entirely too easy compared to this area of the world. Germany I've pulled 2 in one night...go get one at 11pm, take her home, send her home (important step, don't forget!), go back to the club at 3 and pick up the rif-raff and pull one for the rest of the weekend.
ban tbh
Damn... I was in the wrong places. Either that, or I really suck with girls ^^Turquoise wrote:

Germany was a lot of fun. I have very fond memories of my years there (well, the years I actually spent in Germany, as opposed to Bosnia).Turquoise wrote:

If I ever make it out to Germany, it will be for the alcohol and the sightseeing, but I guess I should add women to the list as well... lolimortal wrote:

Germans have a lot of jokes and quips about the Swiss reputation for being very "cold" people as a general rule (and making fun of their goofy accents in German at the same time). The few Swiss I've known were very up-tight and conservative when it came to more "crass" body issues.konfusion wrote:

Switzerland is tough... As for the UK - depends what you're aiming at.

I think your image of Europe is a bit skewed... it's not like we're fucking eachother on the streets here. Actually there's plenty of people who don't bang around outside of relationships at all. I still don't understand where you get the "Euro girls are easy" idea.Turquoise wrote:

Your probably basing your Europe sex conclusions on The Netherlands and Germany. The rest of Europe is prudish. The Eastern European countries and catholic and like Ireland have many hangups.Turquoise wrote:
