Hi all

My graphics drivers constantly fail on my laptop which runs Vista 32bit Home Premium.

Laptop specs:

Inspiron 1720 CORE 2 DUO T5252 1.50 GHz, 667, 2M
Dual-Channel 2048MB (2x1024) 667 MHz DDR2 SD
160GB(5,400 rpm) Sata HDD
GeForce go 8600M GT 256MB DDR2

I have obviously tried to update the GPU drivers but it says they are the latest drivers.
I tried to download the Vista gaming fix which frees up more memory or something, but that didnt work either.

The drivers work fine with lotro on the low settings, even though the game says I can use high settings. But if i use medium - high settings the drivers fail.
Any ideas?

Uninstall them, use drivercleaner, then install them again.

will give that a go. Can you specify what drivers to remove? So it doesnt delete all my drivers?

Go to your device manager (Right click My computer, properties > Hardware > Device Mgr).

Expand display adapters.

Double click on your adapter, should say something along the lines of "NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT."

Go to the "Driver" tab and click "Uninstall."

Can you elaborate on "the drivers fail" please - thanks!
