Tbh Fusion speaks the truth. I never had a problem talking with people, but when it came to talking to girls I like, I was shit. I now go on runs twice a week, press ups before bed, and do weights when I'm doing nothing else. Since starting all that, I now have a girlfriend, which has also boosted my confidence stupid amounts. Oh, Im still in school but have no friends, I have 2 friends from baby school, one of which lives in a different country, and the other played games all day aswell.
I'm guessing since he is 16, he is in the same situation as me, and currently doing exams. They finish in about 3 weeks. After that Summer Holidays, which is about 5 weeks, and after that College if he has applied.teek22 wrote:

I got a job for 8 months which boosted my confidence so I was ready to meet new people.
Then I quit my job and went every weekend 30 miles to the nearest big town (Inverness) where a bunch of people who like the same music as me (Rock music) and just said hi to people that weren't talking to other people. Kept going back, got phone numbers, got msn addys. Went to partys etc. I still spent the whole week days gaming though.
Other Alcohol works too. IF you don't like beer.

get a job!! I got one at a gift shop, and I've made some friends there, even though we don't really meet outside of work. You don't have to get involved with everyone you meet, just have a good time with them wherever you are, at work, school etc. That will give you more confidence in your other relationships.
if you like gaming, start a gaming club at school! Or join a club you find interesting. I have to admit it's hard doing these things, it's been hard for me, but you should really put yourself out there. After you leave your current school all your mistakes in social interaction will be erased and forgotten , so there is no risk of messing your life up forever.

-get a job
-take up a sport (biking, skateboarding, soccer, etc.)
-get facebook and add people from your school, maybe it will be easier for you to talk via internet to people rather than irl (i know it is for me). just try not to be too creepy
-find a party or something, go hang out. its not all about getting drunk, its about socializing.
-read the news/paper and get caught up with the world
-your only 16, and tbh, college > highschool. I had a bad start in high school and gamed a ton early on and didn't meet a ton of people. I've met new people and am happy right now, but i'm going to uni in a year and i will have to make new friend, but i'm more confident now and more social.
- personality helps, but if u have acne, get rid of it, short hair > long hair, your in good shape so thats good. feeling good about how you look will easily help boost your personality and self esteem
