Rookie Acoustic Guitar.

Well, I have an acoustic guitar and I know nothing about any of the tabs or any of that good stuff, All I know is a palm mute and strumming up and down.

Anyone know any free decent websites or video tutorials to show me how to get started?

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

take lessons man. i have quite a few friends who are amazing at guitar, and they ALL had lessons when they were younger. sure you can teach yourself, but it will take much longer, and you might miss out on some important shit.

Necroposting

I'm really wanting to get into guitar, as my friends can all play, well, one of them's letting me borrow his for a wile after spring break, so I'm looking up online guides to get started.

justinguitar seems good at first, but it seems they assume too much and it skips the "How to play" part, the lessons go from "How to tune" straight to "How to read tabs" skipping the actual playing part.(or so it seems)

Youtube searches haven't gotten me very far either.

wtf is that, it's like an acoustic with no sound port, and no pickups for it to be electric...(which it seems to be)

Guess I'll have to go Youtube hunting, first couple pages on youtube of "How to play guitar" yielded little result for me. I think I was using wrong search terms >.<
