This is the kind of stuff that is pathetic about the media. They can't report facts anymore, all they know is opinions. Those opinions convince people things (I.E Bush is a terrible person! ZOMG!), and then mass chaos on youtube.....facts go out the window!DBBrinson1 wrote:
But why is Obama virtually held unaccountable for what he spews? If a Republican canidate were to say these kinds of things you'd never hear the end of it.

Haha, are you implying that the media is why Bush is perceived as a terrible president?SoC./Omega wrote:

Yes; it's definitely a huge factor to the problem.oChaos.Haze wrote:

Maybe he didn't fool anyone.. but rather the alternative was Kerry and Gore.oChaos.Haze wrote:
To whomever talked about Bush not being conservative, true. But he damn sure fooled you conservatives for your votes, eh? Or did you not vote for him?

You still here? And he didn't decide to attack the Taliban first in Afghanistan.oChaos.Haze wrote:

He is not that bright. From his speech on Memorial day:Pug wrote:

So, maybe there were some festering corpses in the crowd?Barack wrote:
Obama's forgettable Memorial Day: Conservative bloggers are fired up over Barack Obama's Memorial Day speech, in which he said, "On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes—and I see many of them in the audience here today—our sense of patriotism is particularly strong" and talked about how his uncle helped liberate Auschwitz, a task actually accomplished by the Red Army. (Late Tuesday, Obama's camp clarified that the candidate meant to say Buchenwald, not Auschwitz.)
Clueless. It angers me that this dingbat wants to be president of these '57/60' states.ATG wrote:

This media conspiracy paranoia is eerily similar to the Ron Paul tactics. Keep it up.. it worked out great for him.DBBrinson1 wrote:

Keep up what? I haven't done anything. It's the media bias with an agenda to socially remake the country... There's no conspiracy. What's that? THere.. Over there . Look over there.Kmarion wrote:

Keep up your agenda to push this idea of only one sided media bias. It works both ways. Fortunately your paranoia isn't contagious. The slant and spin comes from all sides. We live in a free press society, suck it up.DBBrinson1 wrote:

Ah-bit stressed today Mr. K? I think that you missed my sarcasm in the last post and my point of the entire thread. By the way, thanks for the intro to Michelle. I doubt I would have made this thread without it.Kmarion wrote:

If you want I'll layout all the Obama hits for you again. But for now..been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

Those are examples of the pitfalls of ad libbing I guess. I like it that he can think on his feet, even though mistakes will be made. I think I can speak for a lot of Americans when I say that people are sick of a president who stammers, stumbles over his words, and generally freezes up when trying to express himself.SoC./Omega wrote:

They all make these mistakes, and both sides of the media will play the sound bites for as long as they can milk them. Either your new to this whole election coverage thing or you just have a poor memory. You've seen my evidence (media coverage of Obama's goofs) and it doesn't phase you. Clearly you decide to believe whatever comes easiest to you. I however choose to keep my eyes open and consider all angles of media coverage. For some reason people in this country have developed an idea that "being swayed" is a negative attribute. I think anyone incapable of keeping an open mind is just a pawn in the game.DBBrinson1 wrote:

I doubt any here or there find me unbiased. Obviously there will be skewed news reports. My issue is that America is too brain dead to pay attention. Candidates in the past died for slip ups this buffoon makes daily. The media chides and mocks other candidates with little to no reason. However with BO, the media gives a five to ten second soundbite or news clip while saying to the effect of "move along, nothing to see here or awww".. All while "Change" is being chanted by imbeciles in the background. Change what? I kinda like how my government is structured and the way things are run. I don't want my country socialized any more. I'll work hard for myself, not for some deadbeat fuckhead.
I've seen your links (& thank you), you've got your T-shirt (get me a Ron Jon one please) but it really doesn't sway me. The media is blowing Obama.
*edit.. Unless you've got something else, I'm probably done here... Thanks Bud!
When he made his 57 states comment, notice how he THINKS REALLY HARD about what he just said; sure, everyone makes mistakes...but making the mistake of the number of states in the country you are running for president in, is unacceptable.Vax wrote:

I know that sounds a bit superficial, poor speaking skills aren't a sure indication of intelligence, but it is one aspect of the job that is fairly important.
If you really think that the media is the main reason most of us perceive Bush as a moron, you really shouldn't be calling anyone clueless.SoC./Omega wrote:

I'm glad you've noticed this, Kmarion. See, even if I was a Republican, I'd be embarrassed that so many conservatives fall into this "liberal media" trap. Even William Kristol admits that the notion is full of shit.Kmarion wrote:
