I look at it this way, would they correct the problem on their own if they overcharge me, probably not. If they caught the error on that shipment and asked me to exchange it I would but I'm not going to on my own accord. At the end of the day it is very hard for a retailer like newegg to prove you received the wrong product. It's in their best interest to write it off as opposed to possibly pissing off a customer and wasting man-hours reconciling. But that doesn't mean its the right thing to do.
