Writing a CV

Basically I've never had a job before because of a tough program I took called IB which took up literally all my time. I've never written a CV before and need to now for a summer job to make some $$$$$ for University and my summer plans..any tips or even a general outline would be appreciated.

As for the CV, I won't be saying anything as I just copied my sister and then just changed everything to make it as if it was my CV. So no actual thought went into mines.

Just include:

All your details
Previous experience (include dates and explain what you did and shit)
Exam grades/Education (include dates and shit)
Skills/Hobbies/What you've done
Some other shit

Not more than 1 page of info ... start with personal info and name 3 of your strong perks, continue with a section of schools listed chronological, no need to put grades and stuff in there - just when you went there and what school you attended - then list previous work experience chronological if you have had any ... even summerjobs counts at your age ... if you know any cool lingos write those down, like French, Spanish, Swahili etc etc ...

It's basically a summary of your life so far ...

IMO you could benefit from a really hard, ass busting job.
that is obviously not where you are going with your life, as you are a really bright guy. but the character building experience will be invaluable....trust me, i havent steered you wrong yet teddy

you will benefit greatly from a job that makes you ache seven days a week...i know, it doesnt sound fun, but you never know.

No. No lying or exaggerating. Most people can see straight through that. And don't hand write it either, some people can tell a persons personality from it. Try and make it as blunt as possible without smooching yourself. Companies get it all the time and they are tired of shit like that, just write about who you are, not what you think you are.

what place for exaggerating on that CV standard I posted above or any other CV would there be anyway?

changing your school things = lying.
personal info exaggerating = lying.
work history exaggerating = lying.

maybe with hobbies when he says hes a acrobat in the circus.

either way CV's are always dull info forms, 'cept when he would drew a cartoon on it.

and to zimmer, it really depends on what you are trying to do. i'm not saying to over-exaggerate the entire document, but like parker said, you have to sell yourself to them and let them know that you are the man for the job.
