With shit speakers it obviously doesn't make a difference

HDD prices are so low that I can't understand why anyone would be short on space for music. Even huge collections are only like 300GB.
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

I know what FLAC is, but I still don't get why it's should be considered the most desirable audio format.  Can anyone explain that?  I've downloaded albums in FLAC before and I honestly can't tell a difference between them and music that's encoded at 320 kb/s.  I've got pretty cheap speakers and I'm pretty constantly short on disc space, but can all of you really hear a difference that warrants so much higher amounts of storage space?
Well then for you there is no need to download FLAC. It is if you have a great set of speakers and maybe an portable player that supports FLAC with say.... Some SE530s or something. Then you can really tell the difference. With some average speakers and not a lot of space, FLAC is a waste of time. 320KBPS is more than good enough.
