I've seen parts like RAM Cases ands PSU's that say they are or are not X-fire/SLi Supported. Do you have to have X-fire/SLi supported parts? If so why? Or can i just use a regular 800 watt psu and normal 3 gigs of ram.

PS... What happened to all the AMD processors on newegg?

"SLi Certified RAM" only means that it works a little better under SLi than normal Ram sticks. Something to do with the way it uses Power. You can still use Normal ram sticks, though.

There is also SLi Ready Memory - which is guaranteed to run @ stock speeds at  certain voltage with SLi.

Sli/Crossfire certified rams/PSUs is bull. Just make sure the PSU has enough pci-e connectors and thats it.

My SLI 8600GT's work just fine with regular PSU and regular RAM modules.
