Ok so I have a tight budget around £500 I could save but I really don't want to spend any more than that really.

So any way I spotted this at work today and wanted to know if its any good.

Yes its a 42" yes it does 1080p but are the blacks black?

Also I will be linking it up to my PC (8800GTX) but the TV has no Dvi is there any way around that?

Contrast on that T.V aint so good, and contrast imo is about as important as the resolution, it will also help with your blacks looking black, rather than grey etc.  Have a look at the samsung's there the best bang for the buck in the biz imo.

As said a converter will do the trick so far as HDMI is concerned.

Samsung are good but their claims about their contrast ratios are BS.

For £500 you're not going to get a very good picture if you want >37".

Try http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/products … t_id=14697, £650 incl del but picture is faar superior. If you have to stick to the budget then go for a smaller screen, a large off-colour and blurry picture is not worth £500 imo
