Metal storm only works because the bullets are already inside the barrel. Also the bullet that is shot at the front of the barrel will act way differently to one that is shot from the rear of the barrel. Basically metal storm is just a glorified muzzle loaded weapon, I don't think it's going to replace anything any time soon. Well that's what I think
