Title is self explanatory.

The game was somewhat of a clone of asteroids, except that the asteroids were red, blue, or yellow, and when shot they would leave a splat of their colour on the background. The objective of the game was to colour the entire screen white (it started as a black screen) while surviving. I also distinctly remember that it had it's own play your own song feature for music.

I ask because I'm trying to remember the name for a friend who won't stop bugging me.

Thanks in advance.

I google'd it for you, came up with so many results that I couldn't be bothered to sift though them

And he still will not stop bugging me.

What else... erm when the game ended (if you lost all of your lives) it would tell you what percentage of the screen you managed to turn white.

Surely I'm not the only person in the world that played this?

No. Ironically it was our communal playing geometry wars that prompted me to say "hey this reminds me of a game I played once the name of which escapes me", which led to his incessant bugging.

It's not any of those, but they're definitely in the style of it (top down view, asteroids, etc etc)

Thanks

The way I found that link was by going to www.google.com & typing asteroids freeware pc game in. Try that & see if the one you're looking for comes up.
