I'm thinking of reformatting my laptop to Ubuntu, as the only thing I use it for is IMs and web browsing. The only thing that's in the way, is that I haven't found any easy way to connect to Windows Remote Desktop Connection on my media PC, that I'm using for downloads and music, as my lappy only has a crappy sonud card and 40GB HD.
Has some of you Linux nerds here any tips on software that'll do Ubuntu -> Windows RDC? Karma for answers. I'll be using Ubuntu 8.04 32bit.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
