Same thing happened to me on my build.

I was used to S939, which doesn't have these power connectors for the CPU.

hate to bring this threat back from its defeat but can anyone tell me if this is reading incorrectly?

CPU: 2C
CPU 1/ core 1/ 43C
cpu 1/ core 2/ 49C

Incorrect reading on the CPU? I dont think the temperature's could even hit below freezing.....bios shoots back a 9C-10C on boot... but im just double checking...

2c?

I don't know a lot about CPU's, but that's wrong.

You must be using liquid nitrogen...

it's coming up as a red flag on my monitors.....but im just using the fan and heatsink that came with my processor...performance seems fine...

plus, it wouldn't work as a block of ice... maybe i put on to much thermal compound or something...

I don't plan to overclock, is this something that should be solved now? Or don't worry about it?

Just a bad temp sensor. Not unusual on 45nm CPUs.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

As freezer says - it's probably just a bad sensor - the two core temps are OK, so I wouldn't worry.
