I'll post this here, and the mods can kick my nuts and move it if they find a better home for it

I think I've found a solution to my problem of crappy BF2 graphics, and I wanted to share them with any other who might drop into this particular forum in search of answers...

My life-story is that whenever I played BF2 I'd start out just fine, no problems whatsoever.. after a few hours perhaps - it varies - my screen would suddenly cramp up with artifacts (weird images/boxes/triangles on your screen thats definatly not supposed to be there )

I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out what happened - I removed the sidepanel on the chassis and put a table fan the size of my computer right next to it, I removed a firewire-card next to my GPU in hopes that it would help the GPU-fan work better and nothing helped...

At this point I'll let you see for yourselves what kind of playability I was experiencing at some times...

Check it out and tell me that you can't play BF2 like that...

So, for the answer to what i believe is my problems? Well I guess you can't make due with 200W power supply unit when my GeForce 6600GT requires minimum 350W output...

Hope this helps someone - if you'r experiencing these problems, first look at your PSU max Watt output before tossing GPU's and mobos and fans out the window...

Cheers

EDIT I can't spell

I had a similar problem - the fan on my PSU packed in so the whole case went up in temperature as the PSU cooked itself.

I could only get 10 mins of gaming and mabee an hour of general use before artifacts came along.

Better PSU later and I was sorted!
