As much as I like them, I still think an Iron Maiden concert was better. (Yes, I saw Maiden on Monday night, Foo Fighters aren't coming, sadly.)

Newbie mistake there Jens, see when I saw the Foo Fighters when they came to this arsehole end of the world three year ago the concert fell on the day my exams ended.

I've seen them a few times now and they've never really done much for me to be honest. It's not that they've ever been bad, just so so. I guess I'm not really a huge fan, I've always been there for the support bands e.g. Queens of the Stone Age and NIN.
This gig was fucking awesome, because there were only 8000 people there (sold out in 1 hour, lol), so it felt intimate and personal
I started at the second row, but drifted back to around the 10th a little into the show as the shoving got a little annoying.
After starting off with Let it Die, followed by The Pretender, he said, "These guys have given us 2 hours to play.. We've been together for 13 fucking years and have over 100 fucking songs - What the fuck? How 'bout we stop talking and just play songs fucking non-stop for 2 hours?"

"OK, I'll tell you what. We'll start with some old shit, then some new shit and then some acoustic shit, alright?"

"All right, we'll just play what we have, no encores or any shit like that, just hard fucking playing"
Then they played Monkey Wrench - Holy fuck the place exploded.
Then they wrapped up with their two (imo) best live songs - Stacked Actors and finally Best of You - The whole croud sang along to Best of You, it was amazing.
