First of all, don't do a funnel if you can't chug a beer, you'll only get beer all over yourself. If you can though, funnels are great fun.

Ice 101 is good for straight shots. Dr. McGuillicuddy's is even better though; it's pricey but very very good. Crown Royal is very good, if you've got the money. You may need a chaser with vodka, tequila, rum, etc.

Also, depending on how hardcore you are, you may want to start with Irish car bombs.

Shot glass filled half with Baileys irish cream and half Jameson. Drop into a 2/3 pint glass filled with Guinness. Chug. A couple of those and you'll be sailing.

Tequila and Vodka are definitely best for shots
Ouzo or Sambuca are good as well

if i had to decide i'd say i choose tequila over the rest
although a friend of mine and me, we sometimes drink sambuca shots keep them in our mouth and then set them on fire while in our mouth (put a bit of cinnamon on it while it burns)

if you get tequila get REAL tequila, most shit is mixto which is crap and will give you a hangover. dont get anything that says gold, oro, or joven, and make sure it says 100% blue agave or 100% puro de agave azul, dont get anything that says "distilled from".

get some casa noble crystal, 1921 blanco, chinaco blanco, el tesoro plata, el tesoro paradiso, don julio real or 1942, or maybe some jose cuervo reserva de familia (yes cuervo actually knows how to make good tequila, they just sell more of their gold mixto swill), and maybe some partida or corralejo for the ladies.

Jagerbombs are good, you can't even taste the alcohol in it.. Which is good if your one of those people that choke every time you take a shot.

Irish car bombs ARE pretty damn good.

Crown Royal and Coke > Jack and Coke.....by a good bit.

As far as shots go: they all pretty much taste terrible, find one that you think is least terrible... Beer FTW tbh.

I work in an off-licence here in England and the most popular drinks for people having parties are;

Tequila
As the old saying goes: 1 Tequila, 2 Tequila, 3 Tequila... floor. No 18th is complete without it, do a couple of slammers to get the night rolling.

Sambuca
Set it on fire, slam 'em back. Just be sure to blow it out first because IT HURTS.

Jack Daniels
This will be your rest drink. In between shots when you're trying to have a slurred conversation and need to concentrate on the words because they come out in incomprehensible babble (a result of being the 18th birthday boy legend) drink a few of these with coke til you find your legs.

Regardless of what the teens are saying in this thread avoid any kind of cocktail with more than 3 ingredients ESPECIALLY FRUIT. You will not have a good time and you will not feel good after half an hour.

Vodka and Redbulls will top your night off towards the early hours when you're running out of energy.

Aside from that, enjoy yourself and do whatever else you see fit.
