GTX 280 looks like to be 9800GX2 in one chip + some extra performance. Not very big improvement tbh so I just wait for the next gen...

It's slower than a GX2 in some cases :\ I hope for the sake of people who will buy them the drivers help it along.GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

Lol at the 3000% increase on UT3 at high res.
And that's with beta drivers.ghettoperson wrote:

This is exactly why I never trust benchmarks posted here until atleast a week or a few days before the release of the card. They're never true. This is very close to release so it seems to be more likely, but still sketchy.
True ^ But it should be doing better than that, and Nvidia arent renound for there drivers. Though give them the benifit of the doubt. It's the price I cant get my head round. I thought the Ultra on release was ludacris, they just blew that literally out of the water!

I am also looking forward to the new ATi cards. Looks like they are trying to compete...Bell wrote:
He's talking about ATi's new cards. I wouldnt critise your choice (yet) but the concencious of the tech comunity is that the Nvidia cards are tbh lackluster in we are being generous. They zap huge amounts of power, give poor yields, and cost a fortune. They will be the quickest around (till August apparantly) but costs a lot to have that title.

BTW, this new card from nVidia is severe overkill with the price to boot. Not worth it right now.
