obviously not something in the 40,000 dollar range, because that defeats the purpose. not a moped, because its just not my style, or a chopper, same reason.
say....20,000 and under, preferably closer to under.
...although that pink thing is growing on me...thats what she said

That's what I'm getting. Gas is too much for me. A motorcycle will do me some good.

Harley 1200 Sportster. Good starter bike
How am I not smart for lane splitting? I don't get it. It's not like you're going down the whole road doing it, just to pass a few cars.Eye-GiZzLe wrote:

@Poseidon: breaking driving laws defeats the purpose of trying to save money on gas (insurance after the inevitable ticket). its not smart in a place where its illegal because other drivers aren't used to it happening. even then, you should only do it between stopped cars because drivers drift like hell, especially when cellphones come into play.
@IG: its a shame when something that could have been avoided so easily happens. fact of the matter is though, you've gotta live. my entire life i've wanted a motorcycle, for whatever reason they appeal to me. my parents have always forbidden it, and now that i'm going to be on my own soon, i get to make my own choices. yes, its more dangerous than a car, far more so, which is why it wouldn't be a primary vehicle choice. we all have to find and embrace those things that bring enjoyment to us.
i feel bad for your loss though, i really do. i get this feeling that when you do something to demonstrate an extreme lack of competence behind the wheel like that you should lose your privilege to drive. tough shit if it makes your life hard. you're going to be living with the guilt of killing somebody anyways.

very inexpensive, excellent mileage...has the look of its bigger brothers.
If you arent doing huge amounts of freeway driving, i.e. you drive city or rural 90% or more, then this is pretty much THE bike if you are restricted by price.
imho
