My two front teeth are basically fake - i smashed them out on a desk when i was like 13.
So they had loadsa fillings built on top of each other to make teeth. Basically.
Knocked one of them off eating chili.
Knocked another out when some drunk tool elbowed me in the face.
I have to have them refaced every 6 months or so, should be getting perms soon though.

my dentist uses bonding rather than the traditional silver fillings of old days. he uses some kind of color matched compound that bonds permanently to your teeth so it looks just like the tooth. no black stuff. i had a few cracks in my teeth since i grind them while i sleep - stress fractures. no cavities though. he prescribed a bite-guard i use every night and that also helps with headaches i used to get. i have alot of work stress that i guess carries to sleep with me.
look into teeth bonding if you can - the results i think are better - they won't fall out later and look just like a real part of the tooth.

I've only got one (well not anymore) because some kid smashed my face into a water fountain. Then I chipped my filling out on the bottom of a pool in Paris. Then I pulled it out again back here in Scotland on a Wham bar. My dentist is going to be pissed

when i was in yr 8 at school i was eating a lolly thing cant remember what its called and it started to taste weird, so i spat it off the 2nd story balcony and blood and candy splattered all over the concrete below, along with a tooth

I brush well, twice daily, if not more.
I had weak teeth because of a lack of Flouride up to when I was 6. I then moved and the dentist didn't recommend any flouride specials for my teeth.
8 years later it hit badly, My teeth hadbeen rotting inside to out, i had 4 fillings in 1 sit, injections were FUCKING painful. Seriously.
If I saw that bitch again, I'd kill her ass.
I have to serously look after them now. I still eat shit though.

i was working and a coil came off one of my braces, it was lucky as the thing can cut through flesh if something sits on it
