ok, i have a computer which i am keen to upgrade, here are my current specs

Amd Athlon 3800 2.4ghz SKT 939
MSI RS480M2 mobo(rs480 chipset)
Ati Radeon x200 integrated graphics
1GB SDRR
250GB hardrive
2 DVD RW drive with lightscribe
300w bestec atx 300-12z
Xp service pack 2 home edition 32 bit

this is my current mobo

http://www.msicomputer.co.uk/index.php? … incat_no=1

i want something of the same form factor so i can fit in my case easily. I have been told this is a "Micro ATX" but i have doubts on that as i bought another Micro ATX mobo and it was far smaller than my current Mobo, also the risers would not match up with the case, so for that reason i am not 100% sure. Here is the link to the other mobo i bought which i am returning

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6813135067

Anyway all i want to upgrade is the motherboard, Ram and CPU+heatsink/fan.

what i need the upgrade for is casual gaming, COD4 etc, and graphics modeling as my brother is studying games designing at college.

I would like at least 1GB Ram (2 Ideally), an am2/am2+ mobo with decent integrated graphics and at least a 2.2ghz dual core chip (athlon x2 4200 at least)

Also it would be ideal for all the items to be from the same online shop/supplier

what would you recommend for under £100

You can't do it for under £100. Upgrading anything will just lead to bottlenecking. Save it up and buy an entirely new rig when you can afford.

That's actually pretty good. All you wanted was a new motherboard, RAM and CPU for £100. I was looking around ocuk but none of the boards have integrated graphics, it seems.

That board you chose is mATX, it might not work with your case (you said the other mATX board didn't, i'm not sure why, because it should)

Are you planning on using this for gaming?

i will measure up my current mobo and get a mobo that is the same or similar size, the only way i will get a certain MicroATX that would fit

You're not gonna be able to play CoD4 unless you get a proper video card

i have played COD4 on my current computer, which has rubbish integrated graphics, on low settings and it plays smooth, im not too fused if i play a game with poor graphics, as long as i play thats all that matters

Ok ram mb, all I meant was if you do buy the CPU/Mobo/RAM you're then bottlenecked by the vid card. Buy a new vidcard and it'll tip you overbudget and the PSU will likely bottleneck etc.

I would save up and buy a new system, maybe use your old case, keyboard, monitor, mouse ect but you def need new main components

Don't. Get another GB of second-hand DDR400, and this, that will multiply your gaming experience by a factor of five. You can overclock the 7300LE to over 600MHz.

Get that, and wait for a proper upgrade.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Cheapest half-decent GPU there is in that store.

Looks pretty good, but I'd get a http://www.ebuyer.com/product/126974 over that 7900GS. The 8600GT DDR3 is a lot faster for only £2 more.

XFX 8600GTS ^^^^^^ £35.
£7.95 shipping kills the price difference, but it's a GTS, so much better value.
