I want to work with microprocessors. Mostly R&D with consumer based microprocessors or experimental processors.

I do what I always wanted to.  The only other thing I could of done/will do is teach.  Preferably sport.

I have two elder sisters, they are 10 years older than me and born 18months apart.  My Grandad started our business off and we established ourselves in 1912.  We are 3rd generation.  Grandad>>Dad>>Me/Sister.  I believe I was born to do this.  In years gone by it was always the Father who passed the business down to his Son.  Dad panicked, looked at the two ugly sisters and thought this story isn't complete with Cinderella, so they had Me.  More like the Handsome Prince but I have to play the Cinder's roll with "Them Two" stood behind me.

I started working here when I was 7ish doing stuff in the summer hol's and weekends and finally left school 17 years ago and have been working here everyday since.  We are still a family buisness, 96 years strong now.  I had my Daughter working with me last Monday, when that happens it makes us 4th generation.  In 10 years time when she leaves school she wants to work for me/with me.  Thats every Fathers dream, just as it was my Dads.  Sometimes I regret not doing the Uni thing, I didnt have to do this when I left school as I gained good grades but I was born to do this.

The pay isn't amazing but I spend 9 hours a day, 5 days a week, 45+ weeks of the year doing it.  I love my job and the money is a bonus.  It would be very hard to walk away from something your Dad worked so hard for to give to you.  It wasnt until 10 years ago I clicked why he was always a day late picking me up on Fridays to go away for the weekend (Mum n Dad split up when I was a baby), the reason he was late was he would be here working until 12pm those Friday nights so he could take the next two days off with me.

Its nice being able to say you own your own business but the pressure of a 96 year old company going tits up under your reign is huge.  Thankfully I have never been so busy in 17 years of work and things are going well at a time when financially the UK is struggling.
