What is with the general lacking in originality of the forums Threads?

OK: Recently there have not only been a lot of revives, there have been many desperate attempts to re-create or re-birth old threads which have lost their way but have been a big success in the originality of the idea at the specific time.

I now list example threads of this, true some have been closed but only with just cause:
I do not mean to insult or cause any problems with the threads listed and the OP's

These are just a small selection of quite a number of threads following a similar trend.

Do you think it is because everybody knows the coming switch to Trackr is causing a lack in originality?

Is it just the general hunt for Thread ideas?

Or do you think it is just down to BF2s fading away with general conversation and is it this which has caused the increase in spam and related strictness of the moderation of the forum.

Opinions on this? Or is it just me that has noticed it?

You shouldn't care really. Everything Else is basically a spam section, most of the threads and posts are useless. And be glad it's not gonna make it in the new forums.

^ All those threads are perfectly valid (well, maybe except the insult one) - timeless.

There's an increase in spam because it is the summer now, lots of people are off school and people have found interest in, say, Battlefield 2. There is always a jump at this time of year.

mods can change names, titles can be set by the user. At least that's how it is now

Another forum I used to frequent always had threads that were recycled. Then began fad threads, threads that were just like another. Ex:

"A bear stole my Wii."
"A bear stole my PS3."
"A 360 stole my teddy bear."

^ Thankfully, that's not as much of a problem here. Over time, it will feel like we've run out of things to talk about. Something will pop up . . .

And, I am here because the section is here, but believe it or not, I spend most of my time in the "Other Titles" section, games are what I am after.
