Just worked at a medical conference this past week for a Japanese pharmaceutical company. Worked there with a few Austrians that spoke Japanese (most were half-Japanese) and one of the guys that actually took classes on his own and whatnot to become fluent said the courses are filled with anime fans. Not people who actually are interested in the real Japan but people who are obsessed with the anime-Japan BS.

I used to watch DBZ and Pokémon n stuff when I was younger.
