So I never really cared about those fancy keyboards, mice and speakers. I'm currently using 3 years old keyboard, £3 mouse I bought from Ebay, along with 2.0 speakers came with my old Dell PC, before I built my new PC.

I mean those G15, G5 and other expensive peripherals, are they really worth it? What's so special about them? I can see the G15 has a LCD screen with few extra buttons. Is that it?

I would like to buy them, I can afford them, but I just don't want to spend £50 on a keyboard, £40 on a mouse and other £50 on speakers.

Anyway, I added those to my basket, I tried to be as cool as possible, while keeping the price as low as possible.

Speakers - I still think those are expensive, and I'm still not sure. What kind of advantage is it gonna give me over my 2.0 Dell Speakers?

Mouse

Keyboard - Hey, it has extra cool buttons as well.

Are those any good? Or shall I just buy cheap stuff?

I think it's best to get a gaming mouse, they will last you longer, and perform better in-game.

I have the speakers and keyboard. Speakers are excellent, keyboard does the job fine. Good choices.

The Dell speakers you have are probably made out of cheap components, these Creative speakers will give you much better sound quality. The bass reproductions probably won't be anything special, but you should get solid mids and highs. Might I suggest going with a 2.1 speaker system? They'll give you better bass response than those 2.0 speakers you have picked out.

The Zboard is crap. There's absolutely no quality in it. And the last one I used had n-key of 3. 3 is total crap! Especially for the price.

I'd get a mouse over a keyboard. A good mouse matters more than a good keyboard. I only game on 800DPI mice if there's no other option. Getting a dynamic-DPI mouse that goes up to 1600-2000 is really worth it.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

The Z-4 is only £1 more.
These will do you just fine; they have gotten great reviews. Truthfully, you'll probably get yelled at in your dorm before you get these up to full volume.

Although, I was disappointed to find that OCuk doesn't sell any Altec Lansing speakers. Oh well, you should love these.

Keyboard - no, tbh. Spent £50 on a G15 and ended up selling it a few months later!
Mouse - not an expensive one, but one with hot buttons on it is very handy (I got a Logitech LX7 for £12 - wireless, too)
Speakers - yes. Good speakers create a good atmosphere.
