i know the bikers are annoying but then again my dad used to ride like 10 miles to work everyday, so I understand both sides. He's had some pretty bad accidents, like an asian lady turning right in front of his bike, hurling him like 30 feet.

I hate buses and big trucks the most. Never know if they can see you or not. Stupid fucking things.

Bikers should go on the sidewalk. I'd rather risk brusing some guy than getting run over by some fuckhead driver who barely passed his exam. That's the thing keeping me from biking to places (rather than just on biking paths)... the fact that I could much more easily get killed in a crash if I'm on a bike than in a car.

I could´nt agree more once i was one of them riding my bike.. thank god someone/somebody did me the favour stealing 2 of my bikes never again i have been bicycle free for 2.5 years never touched one i love my car does´nt matter how much the gas gonna cost i rather walk than bike.

I'e watched a teen riding his bike past me (while on a pavement), because of a stupid ped with a overactive dog he had to swerve he went head first into a lamp post, he was fucked, out cold on the floor, with quite a lot of blood gushing out his head and yes, for some reason he was wearing a bike helmet (who actually wears them at that age lol). Ambulance people said that if he wasn't wearing that helmet he would have died.

(he had broken his neck and cracked his skull)

I don't know what it's like in the States, but in the UK it's motorists that cause the problems for cyclists, not the other way around.

You say they should stick to back roads? You mean the country roads where people drive 60mph+? That's way more dangerous for a cyclist as motorists often don't get much warning to slow down.

I drive and cycle depending on whether I have heavy kit to carry, and I very rarely see adult cyclists doing stupid shit, but I see plenty of morons driving 4x4s every day.

Changing lanes without signalling, overtaking then cutting you up, blocking you at roundabouts; plenty of things to bitch about.

We have cycle lanes here which should help avoid problems, but so many motorists ignore them and block you up. It's usually the cars holding cyclists back by going slow as hell in city traffic.

Also the buses which block you up at bus stops, then try to overtake just to stop infront of you again 30 seconds later.

I can actually get across town (10mile trip) in 30 minutes driving OR on the bike, so what does that tell you? Learn to share the road, if everyone was more aware and considerate on the roads we wouldn't have these problems.
