Chicken Pox - The bastards were everywhere on me for 3/4 weeks and I'm scarred from them, I didnt pick any they just kept bursting
This I can synpathise with, luckily the few scars I have are in relatively un-noticeable places, only one I can see myself is on my upper right arm, I have a couple on my lower back from ripping spots open figgiting while I slept. I tore off LOADS while I was sleeping, I'm a restless sleeper at the best of times and this really wasn't the best of times lol but, they never scarred luckily I seem to have good skin or something, I've had lots of wounds Dr's have said would scar and never left a mark. Had surgery on my lower abdomen when I was about 6, had a 5 inch scar on the left side for a while, theres not a mark there now, bizarre genetics I suppose but I'm greatful for them, my dad is the same, he had his lower legs really badly burnt and they healed up to look just like they did before, hair even grew back like it was. On the down side I also got hairy legs like my dad

The worst pain is a different question - I got excruciating kidney pain that lasted for around 30 minutes. I could not get up, I could not move, and if I did (even accidentally) it hurt like hell. Thankfully, I have only ever had that twice.
Is that in reference to my post?

If so, I thought I'd spare everyone the details of the associated vomiting and/or diarrhoea...

Oh, and "I nearly died"? - I've 'nearly died' several times. (not in reference to you kyle)

When l had a leaving do in my old job. I started drinking at about 4 in the afternoon and was in bed by 10:30. The bastards bought me a glass of the top shelf, it looked like milk, it smelt awful and it burnt the back of my throat when l drank it. Needless to say l was rather fucked.
I bounced my way home in my chinos and Hawaiian shirt and went to my pit. I spent most of the night throwing up and when l did eventually wake up l was shaking worse than a scared Ozzy Osbourne and had a hang over for 2 days! That was not good for morale.

Self-induced: Tequila hangover...for three days. Pretty sure I had a dose of alcohol poisoning. Can't even stand the smell of tequila to this day...20 years later.

Nature-induced: Had a virus or something when I was in 8th or 9th grade. Projectile-like behavior out of both ends...simultaneously. Real mess. Fever, etc. Don't remember ever being that sick before or since.

my 21st bday hangover was terrible, that lasted a solid 3 days plus another 2 or 3 feeling tired and unmotivated. the party started at 7:30. i remember up until 8:00. i was drinking what could be described as quad-shots of wild turkey with abit of coke (there was no reason for the coke because you couldn't taste it, even though i only remember the taste of the first one lol).

Don't know if you'd call it a 'sickness' as such... but mumps was a fun 3 weeks. Agonizing pain, turned me into a bed-ridden dopefiend for 16 hours a day. Such a rare illness nowadays as well- such a shame! 'Tis a treat

when I was 15 I was hanging with some guys who got a free bag of weed from some dealers, and a pre-rolled really fat cone, and since I was short and really young looking they thought it'd be funny to take a picture of me with the joint, I was smoking it pretty enthusiastically while they struggled to get the camera working, and by the time they did I was halfway through it

Turns out the weed was mixed with speed and some coke and god knows what else, I spent the next 12 hours in an alleyway convulsing, shaking and vomiting.

I got pretty badly sliced up with a box knife and had an ensuing infection.

No fun.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Had whooping cough right over summer break one year. Coughed for so long and so hard that I would throw up, and this would happen many times a day. Couldn't even read or anything or I would throw up more Let alone play BF2 (unfortunately, or I would be a general, lol. The sickness lasts for 100 days lol. I also had pneumonia one year
Shocking
sorry you feel that way

I caught a pretty bad case of salmonella, found out later (didn't go to a doctor), I was sick for 2 weeks with VERY intense pain in my stomach about every hour or so, it was so bad I woke up in the middle of the night sometimes because of it. Blood and mucus coming out when visiting the toilet and everything, fucking hurt that. on a pain scale it's a solid 11/10. On top of it was a fever although I don't know if that was because of the salmonella or that I caught a flu aswell..

I also caught some flu in africa that had me coughing up black slime, kinda destroyed my throat aswell as blood was coming out along with it later on (+ high fever), it only lasted for 3 days though so wasn't as painful as the salmonella infection.

Once I was out shreddin' the gnar, totally stoked because we'd had like 2 foot of fresh pow that night, and I was carving down this slope when I came up to this bit where the slope flattened out and due to my speed worked into this sweet natural kicker, so I just sent it off there at like 50 mph, crossed up my skis and held a sweet grab before landing into soft, pillowy snow super far down the hill.

That was pretty sick.
