AUSTELL, Ga. - A teenager was decapitated by a roller coaster after he hopped a pair of fences and entered a restricted area Saturday at Six Flags Over Georgia, authorities said.

Six Flags officials are uncertain why the unidentified 17-year-old from Columbia, S.C. scaled two six-foot fences and passed signs that said the restricted area was both off-limits and dangerous to visitors, spokeswoman Hela Sheth said in a news release.

Police said the ride was going full-speed when the teen was struck. The ride's top speed is 50 mph, according to the Six Flags Web site.
I feel bad for the family, they lost their son.

But the kid was somewhere he shouldn't have been.  Kid shouldn't have jumped the fences.

Therefore I feel that the family has no right to sue the park for any reason, just in case they were thinking about it.

How does BF2s feel about this?

Ye but this kiddo apparantly decided it was a bright idea to pass restrictions, you can´t avoid accidents if sheeps keep acting that way. Not saying he is utterly retareded i have done my fair share of idiocy in my younger youth but i know i was i fucking moron doing ceratin things, happy to be healthy nowadays.

Edit: huh read the link i actually rided the Batman ride at Six flags he must have had a fucking bad luck gotting run over there not many places to get hit.

Honestly who didn't do something stupid in their younger years?

This one just tops them all.

Family should have no right to sue. But I think you guys are being to harsh on the kid.

I knew this kid... ever since childhood, I knew his lifestyle choices were headed in the wrong direction...

he was always behind, never ahead...

and to think, he was ready to head into college...

I wonder what ride it was.

It was probably the mind bender.

it was meant to imply heavy usage of the word "head", since the kid is now headless.

"No one riding on the roller coaster was injured, Sheth said. The teen was with another boy who also entered the restricted area but was not injured, Pierce said."

Can anyone say murder? It happens. The family shouldn't be suing the park, it was marked restricted. Now if the other boy did it, he should be sued, but then it wasn't that boy's parents fault, the other parents no doubt having to suffer as well.

Looking at the picture, I'm guessing some poor fucker ended up with his head between their legs.

Sad for the family 'n all, but wot a nub.

Even kids should be bright enough to figure that if you're in a roller-coaster park, and you need to scale two six-foot fences to get 'there', then 'there' is probably somewhere you really don't want to be.
