nice, congrats.

protip for the future:

if you're in a situation and you know your camera won't keep up, wait until your subject is on a 90 degree line in front of you to take the picture. keep your camera moving with your subject so that it stays centered on the spot it was in when exposure started.  this will blur the background but not the subject. its called panning. see picture four (yours) for reference.

I was trying to do that, but the screen goes black when it takes the picture, so I couldn't see what was in view at the time.
I really need a better camera lol.

D'oh, I should have used that. It's probably better than the LCD screen.

always use the viewfinder. you get better shots every time. think about it: elbows braced on your body w/ camera 1/4 an inch away, or arms out and wobbly two feet away?

all in all they're nice shots though.

Theres nothing I love more than the adrenaline rush I got when I pulled into the waterbox and started burnin the tires. Your hands get all shakey and you feel cold, then when the tree starts lightin up all you feel is your heart beating.

Its fuckin awesome.

The junior class ranges from 8 years old to 16 years old, so you would have to join the Juniors. So I'm guessing you have to be 18 to drive top fuel and pro stock.
Isn't that just the long drag car things though?
I want to race my grandpas 700horse C5vette, are there junior class's for that too?
Oh, well I think if you hold a valid drivers license, you can drive it. If the track is under NHRA regs, and the car runs 9.99 seconds or under, you need a whole crap load of safety equipment though.
It runs id say in the mid to high 9's ):

Yea, then you need all sorts of stuff like a roll cage, 5 point harness, certified helmet, fire suit, etc.

I've got the helmet, the harness and the suit but the things to damned small for a rollcage.
The 68 SS has one but its not that fast.
Thanks for the help anyways

And I heard the announcer say that you need a bunch of stuff for your engine and such, but I forget what he was talking about. The NHRA website has all you need to know btw.

until you have seen the Powerade series races....you are still considered a virgin.  Nitromethane fueled dragsters >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> alcohol.

www.nhra.com and find out when and where they will be close to you....and go.  Make sure you go to the qualifying sessions on the first day (you'll see more racers and the drivers tend to be less stressed and nicer to the crowd since the pressure isn't on them yet).
