A while ago, when BF2s.com was down and liquidat0r set up the temp forums, RoosterCantrell introduced me to one Andy McKee and a whole new style of music I was previously unaware of. I was myself at a kind of wall with my guitar playing; I had recently finished what was my goal, (Lindsay Buckingham's "Big Love",) and didn't really know where to go from there; although I knew there were things out there nothing really inspired me.
So Andy's music instantly inspired me and I've learned now three of his songs myself. However rpoland, otherwise known as Rob Poland, the head of CandyRat records, routinely releases YouTube videos of their artists, (after McKee's Internet success with the track "Drifting" among others.) There are a bunch of amazing artists on there but one which I'm currently listening to near non-stop is Antoine Dufour. Basically I've set up this thread to showcase some of his amazing music.
It may not be your thing, but since I can never thank Rooster enough for introducing me to this kind of music I've thought maybe there are others who need some inspiration, would appreciate it or just want to listen and watch an absolutely amazing musician.
So without further ado:
Antoine Dufour
Spiritual Groove
This is one I'm just finishing up learning, a lot of fun to play. He also does an awesome version with violinist Tommy Gauthier which is definitely worth a listen. Antoine and Tommy also did the famous "Four Hands Guitar" which you may have already seen.
Catching the Light
The first Dufour track I heard/learned.
Into Your Heart
Trilogie
This one I haven't been able to stop listening to recently and I'll attempt to learn it after I've polished up Spiritual Groove a bit, (or a lot.)
So yeah. The videos are all over YouTube if you want to find more.
