BF2S Forums [Playstation 3] 2.40

Be patient.  At least they have something to work on in the future. And you will have to be patient with developers as they get the patches out for games that are already released.

Personally, I'm loving it.  I won't want to listen to music in game anyway since I won't be able to hear game sounds. I've used the messaging system plenty of times during playing MGS4.

I haven't had any problems though...

Another thing that turned me off the PS3 - The menu and in-game options and shit.


The only thing i want for the X360 is the ability to have more than two people in a VOIP chat.



Still, PS3 is looking more and more tempting, i'll probably get one at some point, and keep my X360.

You can... You can have up to 4 people in a voice chat in the menu...
If thats what you mean

In the one chat? Not in seperate channels i mean

Not sure what you mean by channels...

You get like "in game channel" and then you can invite people to private chat, each convo in its own "channel"

What i mean is can you have x amount of people in one channel, like call conferencing.

You can still hear game sounds with custom soundtracks. The thing is that the 360 had it from the start, so all developers had to accommodate for it. They put the game music on a separate channel from the sound effects etc so you can have music without losing all the sound effects.

Ayumiz, they pulled the update cause it was screwing up a lot of PS3s. I got lucky (I got the update before it got pulled and it didn't kill my PS3) but it's a somewhat lackluster update.

Fuck Infinity Ward. It's evident they've gone down the "make money by not giving a fuck about the consumer" path rather than the "make money by winning over consumers with excellent customer service" path.

edit: Sony's partially to blame too. I mean they had a year between the release of the 360 and the release of the PS3 to put the stuff in that we just got in 2.40.

I'm really punching myself in the balls for selling my 360 now

I know right? It's a shame Sam's not here, I would've liked to hear the excuse he had since according to him the PS3's perfect.

I'm not even turning on my PS3 until I know the WORKING version is out.

You can turn on your PS3 poseidon. Sony pulled the update so it can't even be downloaded

Worked absolutely fine for me. So i don't understand this music thing. I have music that everyone can play when not on a game under the music section. Is it this music we can play? Can someone explain it?

For future use and patching of current titles. Lots of games already have trophies or rewards in them, eg drakes uncharted, all they need to do is put their current trophies into the code sony have put together.

Well now that IS true...

Its utterly ridiculous that they didn't have that from the get go. How stupid is all the chat stuff.... who is sitting at there PS3, but not playing a game.


I thought the music player will work with any game, it just wont be integrated... As in the XMB music stuff would basicly be like playing iTunes in the backround while playing a PC game?
I dunno, I'll try it later.
