I don't really give a shit about Canada Day, to be honest.

I don't need a appointed day to appreciate where I live.
Qft I love my country and fireworks are overrated. Although we did have over 12000 dollars worth shot off here I couldn't be bothered to go (my city has about 30000 people).

You see this shit is the reason why Americans are probably the most widely hated people, because of this kind of attitude.
I notice they are always very quick to put down Canada, thing is, Canada is a superior country.

That's becuase the US was birthed in blood and other nasty shit.  We clawed our way out of the rancid womb that was Great Britain.  For that we party.

Canada, on the other hand, is an abortion.  The discarded results of a filthy, shameful moment between Britain and France.   At least you're not as sad as Australia.

Australia isn't the result of a birth or an abortion.  They're nothing more than a scabby discharge; one of GB's fetid periods.

i'm kidding, of course.

When July 4th rolls around, everyone in the USA celebrates their country and takes great pride and honor in it. They send off spectacular firework shows, have their flags whisking around everywhere, and even paint themselves the stars and stripes. Americans are probably the most patriotic of all people.

But 3 days prior, Canada Day arrives. We have a few beers, have a good supper, and watch TV. Some shitty firecrackers go off, and we have little Canadian flag pins on our shirts. We don't even really recognize our own country's birthday. We go to sleep, and wake up the next morning as if it were just another day and nothing had even happened.

I don't understand how citizens of the USA can get so excited and celebratory on July 4th, but us Canadians sit on our asses and ignore everything around us on July 1st.
Amen brutha.

I actually went to watch the parade this year(not in Vancouver, though, I was in Abbotsford, a small city 60 miles away)

And all it really was was just advertising, like srsly...

They first had the city officials, then The prospera crew(just 2 SUV's) then some cheerleaders, then a band, and that over and over for an hour.

The biggest highlight was that a horse made a LINE of shit like right across the path(where everyone had to walk through it) and the pooper scooper walked right past it.
HAHA I SAW THAT, I live in chilliwack though..

July 1st is Canada's birthday then?

That's 'sweet', as I believe the kids say, it being my birthday too.
