Does anyone know of any good headsets $50 and under that are pretty decent on sound. I'm also trying to find ones that completely cover my ears not something that just slips over like cheap logitech headsets. Please and thank you.

Well this one doesn't really apply under the second one, but I use the Logitech PS2 headset, it's ~$25 shipped off eBay, the sound quality is 8/10.

Biggest thing is that the headset seems as if it were designed to be for 5 yearold's, it's literally THAT small.

Edit: Correction, it's $15 now. I bought mine a year ago

It is a cheap logitech headset that doesn't cover your ears, but it has really good sound, and it's also really nice fitting. I wish mine wouldn't have broken
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I would go for the turtle beach headset since its 5.1

I have the HPA2 version of that headset and i love it. It may look haevy but it feels light and its really good sound with my X-fi xtremegamer.

That's a gimmick, you're not going to get a decent set of surround sound anything for $40 US.

I don't know of any specifics but from personal experience I've had problems with the durability of Plantronics sets. Only other set I've used is Sennheiser and it's lasted forever, but it's only the headphones and no mic. Personally I prefer I good headphone set, one designed for music/studio use and whatever cheap mic you see first at Radioshack.

Icemat Siberia's are pretty pimp if you dont mind clip on mics.

Get them from somewhere, I bought some yesterday and they're awesome. Brilliant sound quality, cover your ears, light, comfy and detachable mic.
