I'm going on a couple of trips soon, and I'll probably be trapped without internet for about a month. I've downloaded a couple of emulators, since retro consoles have so many great games, that won't require a quad-core and GTX280 to run. (My laptop is an office laptop from 2004, woo!) I've downloaded a couple of good games, but I don't know about many.

If you give one for the N64, please make sure it's one that can be played properly WITHOUT the analogue stick!
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Super Mario 64 - Awesome, graphics i think were a bit dated at the time, but the gameplay made up for it

X-treme G 2 - Once again, very good game, harder with a keyboard, but playable

Super Smash Bros. - I don't need to say anything other then "FAaaaaaalcon PUUUUUUNCHHHHHHH" lol

Tetrisphere is pretty fun if yo enjoy tetris but twisted a little

Wave Race 64 - Shor game, not many tracks, but good non the less

Rampage 2- Universal Tour - Giant monsters trampling down cities

Shadowman - just an awe-inspiring game

Bust-a-move 3 DX - meh, but fun and challenging

Star Soldier Vanishing Earth - a 2d space ship game, destroy masses amounts of enemy's, it's hard to play.

I'm surprised no one has said Goldeneye yet.
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

it's quite hard to play without a stick though, same for perfect dark, i would also recommend games like the turok series and doom/quake, but without a stick it makes it really hard/unplayable

SNES games:
I wish i like RPG's so that I could get more into Secrets of Mana

If you like racing type games F-Zero is so damn good.

Super Bomberman... If you have someone to play against the battle mode is great, still fun against CPU and even the single player is pretty good.

Aero Fighters... Need I say more?

Super Mario games kinda go with out saying... Which one had the first 3 from SNES on one cartage again?

Freezer: if you like fighting games, look for 'WWF: No Mercy' on N64 - it's the only good WWF game ever made - and is much more of a fighting game then a wrestling game.

This. Also:

Mortal Kombat. All of them. Trilogy is the best, then MKII and UMK3. MK1's good for the nostalgia of '92.

If you can find a modded N64 controller with a USB plug or find the adapter, buy it!

I use a PS2 controller with a USB plug on it, though. I can't play Goldeneye or Perfect Dark with it, though, which really bums me the fuck out. I wish I could play it with the mouse.

But my games are:
- Ridge Racer 64
- NFL Blitz
- Mario 64
- Mario Kart 64

And that's about it for the moment. I need to get some other platform games eventually, though ... BTW, my emulator is Project64 (runs AWESOME).

But you should just drop the €20 and buy a controller with a stick on it. Not that hard. Especially for a super nerd like you, Freezer.
