I hear what you're saying. But You see me busy on the forums on weekends and evenings.
If I had something better to do with this time, that would make a difference I would but I am not spending 16 hours a day working. Feel free to ask my wife about how much I work.
I worked fathers day, a year or three ago, alone, sweating in my shop on a Sunday because a order was overdue. A lack of work ethic is not my problem, a lack of work is.

I feel your pain ATG, trust me. I worked for two airlines that imploded and left me without a paycheck. Moving sucks, but it is what has to be done sometimes.

At least the unemployed can get unemployment. While not impossible, it's much harder when self financed.
There are now three companies I am talking to.
One in Michigan. One in Erie and the wetback company ( ) in L.A.
I feel good in that most other contractors are just that. I have skills including webs design and different specialty fabrication areas. A nation database of high end clients. Tooling, tools.
I may be stubborn enough to hold out for a while, even though right now I'm in a world of hurt.
If it happens to rain this winter a lot of problems are solved.

Today the owner and cohort of http://www.slateandcopper.com/ flew in today ( and boy his arms were tired

He basically told me he had 80k in sales today, that he respected me and my line and hadn't sent it to India already because of that.
He told me to forget not selling out, that the big players were already copying my product. By selling out he means letting the product be manufactured in India. I have a particular line, that is main stream. I sell it for $20.80. If I turn to him and India I can sell 1000's @ $14.00.
He has the capital to bring quantity in. I have the vision, the experience and the technical ability to create originals and tooling or prototypes.
I also have reasonable web savvy and a descent customer base. When I searched copper raingutters on google the name A.B. was up there. That's worth something.
