Who cares if its ugly. If they are a better solution to safe tyres and are better than the ones we have now, then yay.

if the "spokes" were outside the side more so when it's spinning it looks more like a regular tire it wouldn't be so bad.  It looks weird concave.

I'd like some information on these tyres, they look fugly but they're obviously like that for a reason.

you know they could just add a piece of flat rubber making it look normal.

well, you cant really seal in the chambers... or it just becomes a pneumatic tire again...

Which leads to problems with snow/mud/dirt getting trapped in the spokes and creating wheel imbalances...

This isn't really the new direction though, these pictures have been around for at least a couple years and I haven't really seen anything else that has been done with it...

Not seal it in but something to make it look normal.

yeah, but with a cover water could easily freeze inside... or depending on the size of the hole just get trapped inside...

And if you ever had to drive through mud it would hold that inside. If they are not completely open stuff wont come out as easily, and with as fast as a tire spins and how far away from the center the imbalance would be thats kinda a big deal.

These tires have been discussed on like every car forum ever, at least a few times...

I know what you are trying to say, but you cannot cover those opening with out helping to trap stuff in those pockets.
