Anyway. Who the hell wants to live Waspphoria, I mean Plano, Texas, I mean anywhere not on the east or west coast. I'm not saying it is so great living in NYC, but it is convenient. One day I hope to move to the backwoods. Money is only an issue if you're not smart with it.

Uuh okay I imagine these are the tricky ones:
"Lax" means not strict or severe; careless or negligent. You probably knew that.
"Blimmin'" is just a word that can replace something like "bloody", or "fucking" - just one of those words that don't really add anything to a sentance. Probably originated from "blimey" which in turn originated from "blind me".
"Keed" is just a south-of-the-border accent on the word "kid".
"Skint" is a word meaning that I'm broke, have no money, am in the poor house or just another New Zealand University student with crippling debt.
