check the lint trap?
still waiting for the over 15s....
Well, I can't come to a proper conclusion without you telling us the specs of your dryer.
How old is it? How many hands has it been through? How did you acquire it? Have you encountered this burning smell before?
I think you should check it out. Better safe than sorry. Turn off the dryer, open the door and check if anything's caught where it shouldn't be. Something could have been jammed in one of the vents, blocking airflow and thus burning. If all is well, just continue the drying process if the clothes still need drying.

Usually a burning smell comes from something at a very high temperature. In addition, if you've never smelled a burning smell from your dryer...
edit: I'm over 15

about 3-4 years old. bought new, no, but then i've never checked for it before. lint traps clean, nothing's caught anywhere.Cyrax-Sektor wrote:

What do you expect with that as the OP.Ender2309 wrote:

no its normal. now go stick a knife in the electrical outlet to see if it is working properly.
Normal, no. Unless your clothes are on fire. Then it would be perfectly normal to smell like it's burning, because it would be.Ender2309 wrote:

Dude, go clean out the lint filter! NOW!
